AFTER a six-month time warp, Australians will finally have the chance to see Kylie’s star turn in the hit UK TV series Doctor Who tomorrow.
More than 12.2 million Britons tuned in to see Kylie in action on UK TV last December – making it the most-watched episode in the series’ history.
The dramatic episode featuring Kylie was hailed as the greatest Dr Who episode of all time.
She glamorous waitress Astrid Peth on the doomed intergalactic ship similar to the Titanic in the one-off episode titled Voyage of the Damned.
The movie-length episode will air on the ABC on Sunday at 7.30pm.
During the 70-minute episode, Kylie locks lips with the time-travelling doctor, played by David Tennant, before a surprise ending that at the time was one of the TV industry’s best-kept plot secrets.
Kylie has said she was nervous about playing the role, but ultimately fell in love with the character.
“I’ve a lot of affection for Astrid – she’s a waitress, a dreamer, alone, and wants to travel,” she told The Radio Times late last year.
“Perhaps that’s like me when younger, but I had opportunities, and she’s still struggling.
“Dr Who goes back to my roots as an actress.”
