Kylie Too Sexy for Coldplay

Coldplay have revealed that the song they recorded with Kylie, was deemed “too sexy” to make the cut for their new album.
Frontman Chris Martin revealed that the track is entitled ‘Lunar’, and that it will appear on an LP the band will release in 2009.
“At this point we cannot be that sexy,” he said, referring to why the track didn’t make the cut for the new album. “It’s a song called ‘Lunar’ and Kylie is particularly brilliant on it.
“It will be on a record we will put out in 2009, some time at the end of next year. It will be track nine, I imagine.”

Happy Birthday Kylie!
Kylie celebrates her 40th birthday today.
She will take a break from her current X tour to mark the date with a small group of family and friends.
Dannii Minogue will be joining her sister at what is expected to be a lavish sit-down dinner in Germany, while mother Carol and father Ron are flying in from Australia.
Kylie’s tour resumes with a gig in Munich on Thursday, before moving to Switzerland, France and Spain.
Last week, she kicked off her birthday celebrations in Greece.
Minogue booked a three-storey hotel overlooking the Aegean sea for her entourage.
More than 100 people celebrated at an all-night party, attended by people from her record label, her tour and management.
Her catering staff from the X tour were also invited - with Minogue hiring outside caterers so they could get the night off.
A spokesman said: “Kylie will be celebrating her birthday with her family and close friends.”
Kylie 40 and fabulous
SHE’S reinvented her image more times than she has had birthdays - from the girl next door in Neighbours to her wild look during her days in love with Michael Hutchence, to her sexy Showgirl style and on to her current X tour.
As Kylie’s 40th birthday approaches, it seems an age since she first worked her way into the nation’s psyche as the tomboy mechanic Charlene in Neighbours.
When she decided to leave TV to try her luck as a pop star - going straight to No. 1 singing Locomotion - many were quick to write her off as a one-hit wonder, the “singing budgie”.
But even her most ardent supporters could never have imagined 20 years later she’d still be wowing crowds at sellout concerts around the world.
And as she prepares to celebrate her 40th in Paris on Wednesday, her recent battle with breast cancer will make it all that more poignant. Through it all Kylie has maintained a special place in every Australian’s heart.
As promoter Michael Gudinski and wife Sue jetted out of Melbourne to help Kylie celebrate her 40th birthday in Paris, he said: “She’s had incredible longevity, it’s been an amazing career.
“We’ve worked together for more than half her life. I can’t wait to give her a big kiss and a hug.
“Kylie is special - not just because of the incredible working relationship, which has grown stronger and stronger since the start of her singing career, but more importantly she’s a friend, a special woman and one of the nicest people you could meet.”
Kylie will celebrate in Paris with an intimate private dinner. Sister Dannii and brother Brendan are expected to fly in, while her mother Carol and father Ron are already there.
Minogue’s management has been flooded with gifts and cards for the singer.
Kylie the new “Tous” face
Tous has chosen Kylie as the face of its 2008 international advertising campaign.
A presentation was held recently in Paris in the Hotel de Crillon to present the campaign.
Notable attendees included Tous President Salvador Tous and celebrities such as Christian Karembeu, Zoé Felix and Emilie Dequenne. Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, ambassador of the company for more than ten years and designer of her own Collection Eugenia by Tous, also attended.
On the choice of Kylie as the face of the brand, the company commented: “Empathy and vitality have been the two most important values shared by Tous and Kylie. Kylie is warm, enchanting and full of life, the epitome of the Tous brand values.”
Images of the campaign were photographed by Leanne Buckham, personal photographer and friend of the singer. Ten different advertisements of jewellery, handbags, watches and glasses will soon be seen in the national and international media.

Kylie recieves a gift from Turkey
Kylie, who was on stage in the Kuruçeşme Arena Tuesday night had arrived in Turkey with 21 trailers and eight buses, was given a gift, a caftan specially prepared for her as a souvenir from Istanbul.
A 10-person team prepared the caftan over 15 days. The caftan, which is handmade, has a tulip pattern on the front and back of it. On the skirt and sleeves there is a handmade crescent and star emblem. There are also crosses on the shoulders of the garment.
The caftan, which is purple and light green, is completed by a mini skirt cut from the same cloth. Minogue told the audience that she loved the crescent and star figure, and that she was very happy with the caftan.
After the concert, Minogue’s fans waited at the entrance of her hotel. There were even foreigners who waited to see her.
Her fans describe her as very sympathetic and warm-hearted. Fans raved that the concert was “colorful, energetic and charming.”
Bulgaria getting ready for Kylie
The hysteria surrounding the concert of Kylie in Sofia is gradually and flawlessly building up across Bulgaria.
If somehow, for any reason, you are still not aware when the concert takes place, it is at 8pm on May 18 at Locomotiv Stadium. And the organisers promise a unique show with dazzling costumes by Jean Paul Gaultier, light effects, huge video screens and impressive multimedia. So we hope, having heard about the spectacular show Minogue put on at the start of her tour in Paris on May 6.
Days before the concert, a total of 17 cargo trucks with equipment arrived in Bulgaria to prepare the 22-meter-high scene, spreading on 1200 sq m. Specially for the show, a whole mini-town of more than 20 tents will be built behind the scene to host the dressing-rooms, wardrobes, a luxurious restaurant, kitchen and rest rooms.
One of the world’s best choreographers, Michael Rooney, did the choreography for the concert. On May 18, we will see why performers of the class of Bjork, Madonna, Fatboy Slim and Christina Aguilera contract Rooney for their events.
