Kylie looks at Tudor home
Kylie Minogue plans to pacify herself over her failed bid to crack the US music market again by buying a 3million pounds country retreat in the UK. Minogue has expressed interest in a riverside Tudor home in Sussex, which she viewed last week after returning from the States. Kylie failed to break into the Top 100 with her album X despite a huge publicity drive.
The area was recommended by her pal Robbie Williams, who has a house there himself, and the mansion, which has a chapel included, is said to be fit for a princess. Minogue is desperate to settle down as she is fast approaching her 40th birthday next month and she wants to lead a more fulfilling life. “I’m looking for a property in the country. I need to do things to make me feel whole,” the Sun.

Kylie may never marry or have kids
She turns 40 next month - and clearly this landmark birthday is making Kylie Minogue do some reflecting.
In an interview with German Vogue, the Austarlian pop princess (copyright: all tabloids) says: “I never had the feeling of a conventional marriage with a terraced house in the suburbs…There are artistes such as Debbie Harry or Dolly Parton who’ve managed to have an unbelievable career without a family. Dolly recently said ‘I don’t need children. I have brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews’”.
Kylie also revealed plans for the costumes on her next tour - which kicks off in Paris on May 6. “The showgirl and the feathers are behind me. Now I would like to hit on a new direction. Jean Paul Gaultier sketched all my costumes for the tour - all couture,” she tells Vogue. “For example, a wonderful black velvet overall with an opening in the middle that seems to defy the laws of gravity - it is a little reminiscent of an army uniform but is nevertheless very chic, very modern.”

Kylie´s “X” fails to impress in the US
Kylie Minogue´s latest album has flopped in the U.S. charts - despite unusually heavy promotion from her record company. X - the singer’s fourth album to be released in the U.S. but her 10th overall - was released on April 1 in the U.S. and sold just 6,000 copies to score its debut position at number 139 on the Billboard 200.
Minogue, 39, did extensive interviews across the American talk show circuit, with appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and the syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The singer has had difficulty replicating her international fame in the United States, where her only other Billboard 200 appearance was with her 1988 debut Kylie, which peaked at number 53.
X debuted at one in her native Australia and two in Britain after its international release last November.
